Or called: “Green Stuff,” Originally referred to as “Sea Foam Salad” way, way back in the day!
Please bear with me, this recipe is simple to make; It’s deciphering the hand-writing that has been smeared through the very long years. Something said there in writing down recipes on note cards, pieces of paper!
You will need:
Green jello
Canned pears
Cream cheese {at room temperature}
Cool Whip {homemade whipped topping}
Small Amount:
1 small box of green jello
1 small can of pears in its own juice
1 small cream cheese {at room temperature}
1 small cool whip
Medium Amount:
1 large box of green jello
1 large can of pears in its own juice
1 large cream cheese {at room temperature}
1 large cool whip
Large Amount:
1 large + 1 small box of green jello
1 large can of pears in its own juice
1 large + 1 small cream cheese {at room temperature}
1 large cool whip
1. Put pears in a large enough bowl to manage mashing them. Reserve liquid in a saucepan.
2.  Heat pear juice; dissolve jello thoroughly in pear juice. Then mash cream cheese with fork in HOT mixture.
3. Cool in refrigerator. But do not let set completely. You will be adding mashed pears.
4. Add mashed pears. FOLD in cool whip.
5. Either chill in a mold or an airtight bowl.
